ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Michael, owner and operator of Plants & Hedges.

I have been maintaining gardens as a career since 2019, initially in Canberra and now in the Adelaide Hills. I have had many years of experience working in friends, family and my own garden since I was about 12 years old. My passion for gardening definitely came from my Grandma and weekend visits to various nurseries with my Mum and Dad just to “have a look”. I have also been studying and am currently completing my Certificate 3 in Horticulture.

Prior to starting my gardening business, I completed my traineeship with the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) of Australia. Becoming a golf professional was something I had dreamed of since I was young. Now, I am working in and pursuing my other childhood passion and dream. So, what started off as pushing a lawnmower around the neighbourhood, knocking on doors to try and make a few extra dollars, has turned into a small business which I am continuing to improve upon and grow.

I truly love what I do, and hope to make your garden more beautiful, help you to love your garden and find the joy in gardening too.
